        INSTRUCTION TO THE CANDIATES
1.    All question s are compulsory.
2.    The Whole question paper comprises of 33 questions divided in to 4 sections in  which section A Contains 6 questions of 1 marks each,section B,Contains 7Questions of 2marks each,, and  section C contains 10 questions of 3 marks each, and  section D contains 10 questions of 4 marks each respectively.
3.    Attempt all questions in serial order only.
4.    Use compos box instruments where ever necessary.

1.    Which is greater  or 0.7?
2.    Give an expression for  : Y divided by 8.
3.    What is the use of protractor?
4.    Find the ratio of 40 min to 1 hour.
5.    How many prime numbers are in between 1 to 5.
6.    Draw the circle of radius 2cm.

13. Neela  reads 25 pages of a book containing 100 pages.  Sumalatha reads  of the same book  who reads less?

17.  Use only compass and ruler to construct an angle 450.
18. Give an expression for the followings:
(a)    Assume that Seeta’s age is x years old. What will be her age after 10 years?
(b)   How old she was 10 years ago?
(c)    Her friend Reeta is twice as old as Seeta.

24. The length breadth and height of a ware house is 8250mt, 6750mt, and 4500mtrespectively, find the longest length of tape which can measure the three dimensions of the room exactly.
25. There is rectangular hall of length 1200 mt. and width 400 mt. the tiles of side 50 mt,. by 40  mt. has  to be arranged so has to cover the flour how many  tiles are needed
26. For a line segment AB = 7cm, take a point P above the line and    draw perpendicular   to the AB. From the point P. And explain the steps of   construction.
27. A car travels 90 km in 2hrs :
a)    how much time is required to cover 30km with the same speed?
b)    Find the distance covered in 2 hours with the same speed.
