Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
                             Yadgir

            Mathematics exhibition
Topic of the EXIHIBITION :SIMILAR TRIANGLES AND PROOF BASIC PROPORTIONALITY THEOREM
Name of the EXIHIBITOR    :    SHREENIVAS.N. PATIL
                                 CLASS      :     X
                               SCHOOL  : J N.V.YADAGIRI
Guided by: -1. Gangadhar T.(T.G.T MATHEMATICS)

Cost of the exhibition: App.75 RS

Theme of an experiment: The use of Mathematics in daily life situation to improve the quality of daily life.
PRINCIPLE: Enjoy the learning while doing.
CONTENT  INVOLVED IN THE EXPERIMENT:
(1)          Concept of similarity in the squares.
(2)          Concept of similarity in triangles.
(3)          Concept of Thales theorem.
(4)          Concept of parallel lines.
(5)          Concept of corresponding angles.
(6)          Verification of Basic Proportionality theorem.
STATEMENT OF THALES THEOREM: If a line is drawn parallel to one side of the triangle to intersect the other two sides in distinct points, then other two sides are divided in same ratio.
OBJECTIVES OF THE EXPERIMENT:
(1)Two recall the concept of parallel lines.
(2)Two recall Play Fair’s Axiom.
(3)To enjoy the concept learnt by hands on experiment to
     reinforce in mind forever.
(4)To apply the theorem to the daily life situations whenever
      they come across.
PROCEDURE : 1. The idea of the similar squares will be
                               Demonstrated using circuit model device
Developed by the own idea of the pupil.
                           2. The concept of squares will be demonstrated
by the pupil  using circuit model device
developed by the own idea of the pupil.
                           3. The B.P.T theorem/ Thales theorem will be
demonstrated and the proof will be verified
                              by the working model.
CONCLUSION: As it is the case of an hands on experiment for
the student, the concept learnt will be remained
in the mind permanently and he will develop
the passion of check and verify the content and
then believe in the principle which will help
him to eradicate the blinds belief.
