FORMATIVE ASSEMENT –III [FOR THE YEAR 2013]
MATHEMATICS X
INVESTIGATORY
PROJECT.
TOPIC: COORDINATE
GEOMETRY Marks:10.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
v
Drawing the
sketch of map of Home town/District /Taluka /Mandal /state of
their own choice.
v
Highlight the important
places in the area of Home town/District
/Taluka /Mandal in terms of coordinate
points.
v
Locate the various objects in terms of coordinate points hence to find the distance between important places selected in the chosen map
v
Calculation
of Approximate expenditure to be incurred
on tour programme with specified rate of expenditure per
kilometer.
SALIENT FEATURES OF PROJECT
Ø Integrating the mathematical concept with multi
disciplinary subjects like Geography, English, History, statistics, art and
literature.
Ø Develop the
awareness and passion of their own vicinity and idea of geographical location
of important places.
Ø Develop the
skill among the pupil to construct the
problem and solve the problem developed using
the concept of coordinate geometry from which they learnt.
